Windows XP Hibernate Command

As such there is no internal or external command is there to put system in Hibernate mode. You can use rundll to execute the hibernate function explicitly . Click run and paste below command and click ok button.

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState Hibernate

Note however that at least in some cases, if you hibernate using the above command that for some reason Scheduled Tasks is unable to wake the computer from hibernation (see here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-2000-pro-nt-workstation-support/101951-help-me-solve-bizarre-scheduled-tasks-conundrum-please.html for some discussion). Anyone know a workaround?
